KEA sponsoring ‘walk around the world’ in NZ KEA is proud to be supporting Canadian Jean Béliveau who has been walking around the world for 10 years to raise awareness of the 2001-2010 INTERNATIONAL DECADE FOR A CULTURE OF PEACE AND NON-VIOLENCE FOR THE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD. Jean has already walked more than 68,000km, and gone through more than 48 pairs of shoes during his epic journey! Jean is walking the length of New Zealand, which is his final leg, starting in October. We are providing Jean with a KEA as a support vehicle from 6 Oct 2010 to early Feb 2011 on his journey from Bluff to Cape Reinga. His walk will fundraise money for Barnardos during his time in NZ.
